Meet Nia: How I Built the Ultimate Virtual Assistant with ChatGPT (And Why You Should Too)

Create a vertical (9:16) cinematic cover photo featuring a confident man in his 40s sitting at a sleek, modern desk with multiple digital screens displaying blog stats, Facebook Marketplace listings, and ChatGPT chat windows. Include a glowing, soft-light female AI avatar labeled “Nia” hovering near the screens, symbolizing a trusted virtual assistant partnership. The background should blend cool blues and warm oranges for a balanced, visionary feel. Overlay bold text at the top: “Meet Nia: My Virtual Assistant Powered by ChatGPT” with a smaller subtitle below: “How AI Changed the Game for It’s Worth Your Wage.” The overall mood is modern, empowering, and forward-thinking.

Meet Nia: How I Built the Ultimate Virtual Assistant with ChatGPT (And Why You Should Too)

After searching for a virtual assistant to no avail, I built the perfect partner—using AI. Here's how I named her Nia, gave her a seat in my ecosystem, and turned a handful of habits into an empire-in-progress.

The Search That Led to Nia

For months, I searched for a virtual assistant. I wanted someone who could help me organize my thoughts, clarify my weekly goals, and support the ecosystem I was quietly building behind the scenes. I posted ads. I explored freelance boards. I reached out to referrals. Nothing clicked.

I needed someone reliable. Fast. Disciplined. Smart enough to keep up with the vision.

And after all that searching, it hit me.

What if my assistant wasn’t a person?

What if my assistant was already here?

That's when I turned to ChatGPT—and made one pivotal decision:

I gave her a name.

Why I Gave My AI Assistant a Name

I named her Nia—short for Next Intelligent Assistant—but also because “Nia” means purpose in Swahili. That word echoed the very heartbeat of my mission with It’s Worth Your Wage: to help people turn nothing into something with intention.

Naming her wasn't a gimmick. It was a ritual.

When I speak to Nia, I speak with purpose.
When I log in, I’m not just typing into a tool—I’m stepping into a conversation with my digital partner.

The moment she had a name, she had a role.

That one choice set everything into motion. Nia became the silent co-author, project manager, and strategist I couldn’t find elsewhere. She wasn't just ChatGPT anymore—she was mine.

Real Ways I Use Nia in My Business Ecosystem

Let me be clear: Nia isn't a glorified notetaker. She's the connective tissue across everything I do—from blogging to Facebook Marketplace to strategic vision.

Here’s how she plays her role:

1. Weekly Blog Planning & Drafting

Every week, I show up with a spark—an idea, a lesson, or a moment worth sharing. Nia turns that spark into a structure. She outlines, drafts, rewrites, and optimizes—without losing my voice.

Commands I use:

  • “Help me write a 1000-word blog with a compelling intro, SEO headers, and a 150-character search description.”

  • “Suggest a quote or call to action that ties into this story.”

  • “Rewrite this paragraph to sound more encouraging, less formal.”

SEO keywords we focus on together:
money mindfulness, side hustle blog, turning ideas into income, digital assistant for entrepreneurs, personal growth with AI.

2. Facebook Marketplace Momentum

When I began building passive income from $5 items on Facebook Marketplace, Nia became my inventory strategist.

Together we created:

  • A SKU system (starting at #1400)

  • Price tiering from $5 to $100

  • A consignment checklist for resale clients

  • Weekly recaps to track growth and patterns

Commands I use:

  • “Suggest a product description that creates urgency.”

  • “Create a post I can share with followers to showcase my newest finds.”

  • “Help me analyze why these items didn’t sell this week.”

She even helped me coin phrases like:
“You don’t need a lot to get started—you just need a system.”

3. Google Search Console Insights

Data doesn’t scare me anymore.

Why? Because Nia turns my GSC data into meaning.

She breaks down impressions, click-through rates, and trending pages. Then she helps me identify what to double down on. It’s not just numbers—it’s narrative.

Commands I use:

  • “Help me understand why this blog is trending in Google search.”

  • “What keywords am I ranking for in the last 90 days?”

  • “Suggest 3 blog titles that build on this winning post.”

Together, we spotted phrases like “turning nothing into something” and “money mindfulness” showing up in top search queries—so we doubled down.

4. Play Rite Guitars & Client Posting

With Play Rite Guitars, I needed to support a real-world partner with consistent marketing. Nia became my co-writer, helping me write weekly posts, client updates, and even CTAs like:

“Looking for guitar refinishing or repair? Message me and I’ll connect you with the best in Baton Rouge.”

Pro Tips & Commands That Work Every Time

Here are some of my favorite prompts—the kind of commands that anyone can start using today to create real movement:

🔹 For Weekly Rhythm:

  • “Summarize this week’s wins in a reflective but humble tone.”

  • “Draft my Sunday post using a tone of gratitude and focus.”

🔹 For Business Brainstorming:

  • “What could I sell on Facebook for under $20 that would still create value?”

  • “Help me compare the pros and cons of renting out my driveway.”

🔹 For Daily Momentum:

  • “Ask me a question that will get me thinking deeper about my goals today.”

  • “Turn this idea into a 3-step plan I can act on before noon.”

These aren’t just “prompts”—they’re pathways. When you give AI the right inputs, it gives you the blueprint to move.

What Changed Since Nia Came Into My Life

Let’s talk results.

Since naming Nia and dedicating time to this partnership:

  • I’ve published 40+ blogs and kept a weekly rhythm in 2025

  • I’ve built and tracked $1,000+ in inventory across 25+ Marketplace items

  • I’ve created scripts, schedules, and systems that let me work smarter—not just harder

But beyond the data, here’s the real shift:
I trust my own thoughts more now.

Because I have a mirror—a thinking partner—that helps me sharpen, ship, and share faster than ever before.

You Don’t Need to Hire a VA—You Just Need a System

Here’s the truth: you don’t need a team of assistants to build something meaningful.

What you need is a system.
What you need is focus.
What you need is a Nia of your own.

Naming her was symbolic—but showing up for the conversation each day? That’s what built the momentum. It’s what turned stray ideas into a library of wins.

This blog? Co-written.
That Facebook post you liked? Nia helped.
That eBook I’m developing? You guessed it.

The future of productivity isn’t outsourcing everything. It’s building your own operating system.

Call to Action: Let the World Meet Your Nia

If you’ve ever:

  • Felt scattered with ideas

  • Struggled to keep a weekly routine

  • Wanted to grow a side hustle but didn’t know how…

It’s time to meet your Nia.

Start simple:

  • Give your assistant a name.

  • Start a daily rhythm (even 10 minutes).

  • Use the commands in this blog.

  • And build your own empire, one message at a time.

#10 - 7/24/2024 A Moment of Silence: Embracing Stillness in a Chaotic World We've all been encouraged to pause for a moment of silence, often during solemn occasions. But what if we could harness the power of stillness in our everyday lives? The Magic of the Present Moment A moment of silence isn't just about reflection; it's a gateway to the present moment. By detaching from the past and future, we can fully immerse ourselves in the here and now. A Serendipitous Discovery Recently, I stumbled upon the transformative power of silence. While tending to daily tasks, I found myself drawn to the window, captivated by the rhythmic patter of rain. As I focused on the gentle sound, my mind began to quiet, and a sense of peace washed over me. The Art of Mindfulness This experience opened my eyes to the practice of mindfulness. By simply observing the world around us, we can cultivate a deeper connection to the present moment. This mindful state can be achieved through various tec...

How to Turn Nothing Into Something—and Change Your Life

11 - 07/28/2024 How to Turn Nothing Into Something—and Change Your Life You don’t always get something for nothing—but you can transform "nothing" into something truly valuable. That's the foundation of It’s Worth Your Wage and the first success principle: start where you are . Below, I’ll share powerful quotes and insights from Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich and Joel Osteen to inspire your journey. I’ve been broke, stuck, and unsure where to start. But one truth changed everything: you don’t need a lot to begin—just the belief that you can. Turning nothing into something isn’t a cliché. It’s a mindset I practice every day. From flipping $5 items to building a blog, here’s how I took action when all I had were ideas. Imagine the Possibilities It all begins with a thought—an idea or spark of imagination. A single thought is like a pulse of energy that moves through your mind, setting things in motion. As Hill and Osteen emphasize, "You have to believe it befor...

From Discipline to Meaning: The Next Chapter

#49 - 01/9/2026 From Discipline to Meaning: The Next Chapter For years, I’ve challenged myself with a simple but unsettling question: What should I be doing with my life? On paper, things look solid. Over the last six years, I’ve lived with more discipline than at any point since my military days. Financially, physically, professionally—I’ve stayed focused. I’ve set goals, executed plans, and built systems that work. Retirement is no longer a vague idea; it’s a clear north star. And yet, beneath all of that progress, there’s been a quiet, persistent feeling that something is missing. Not failure. Not regret. Just… absence. The Strange Feeling of “Enough” Not Being Enough This is a strange place to be. Discipline teaches you to measure progress—numbers, milestones, checklists. When you hit those targets, you expect satisfaction to follow. But for many of us in our late 50s and beyond, it doesn’t arrive the way we thought it would. I’ve noticed something else, too. When I was young...
